Benefits:CIPS study support12pm finish every Friday25 days holiday + bank holidays (rises with years of service)Life assurance (8 x salary)Enhanced pension scheme (8% employer/4% employee)Employee assistance programmeBuyer Duties:Manage the full sourcing process, from finding and qualifying suppliers to audits and contractsOversee all purchasing tasks including RFQs, negotiations, and setting up supply agreementsNegotiate lead-times, schedules, minimum order sizes, and forecast commitmentsStreamline the supplier base and build strong relationships to support business goalsImprove supplier performance in quality, cost, and delivery through reviews and scorecardsEnsure purchase orders match agreed terms, forecasts are accurate, and supply risks are minimisedHours: 7:45am-4:45pm (Mon-Thur) and 8am-12pm (Fri)Required skills & experience:Experience with Indirect procurement (Essential)Strong negotiation & communication skillsBackground within either Rail/Engineering/Aerospace/Technical Manufacturing (highly desirable)If you would like to discuss this Buyer role in more detail, then do get in touch with Lewis at Elevation Recruitment Group now!
