A fast-growing business at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution is seeking an innovative and results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and manufacture of its advanced EV charging systems. With a growing international footprint and involvement in pioneering UK projects, this company designs, manufactures, commissions, and supports end-to-end commercial charging infrastructure.This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative, forward-thinking engineering team and help scale the production of next-generation solutions.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement efficient production processes for EV charging system manufacturingEnsure production complies with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental standardsMaintain and troubleshoot production equipment, ensuring uptime and efficiencyWork with design teams to scale product specifications into workable manufacturing processesIdentify bottlenecks, improve workflows, and drive process optimisationCreate and maintain documentation including SOPs, workflows, and maintenance schedulesTrain technicians and operators on production processes and equipment usageEvaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance production performanceLiaise with Quality Engineering to resolve any quality issues and implement improvementsAnalyse production metrics to inform and deliver continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with procurement and logistics teams to support the supply chain and material availabilityAssist in implementing JIT strategies and monitor inventory levels to reduce wasteEngage with suppliers to solve production-related challenges and ensure material complianceProvide engineering support to ensure day-to-day operational readinessParticipate in cross-functional planning meetings to align production objectives with broader business goalsRequirements:Degree-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical or Production Engineering, or a related field would be beneficial but not essentialExperience in a production or manufacturing engineering role involving electric systems, ideally in the EV or power sectorGood working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologiesProficiency in CAD software and manufacturing toolsHands-on experience with power electronics, connectors, and electrical system componentsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong organisational and project management abilitiesFurther information can be given upon request and subject to meeting suitability criteria.
