Our busy national portfolio offers a myriad of planned and unplanned challenges for an inquisitive, hard-working, and effective person who is capable of'getting things done’.ResponsibilitiesAdhere to Group Procurement Policy and Standard Operating Procedures, and also local UK market proceduresCollaborate with internal stakeholders including, but not limited to, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to draft specifications, work scopes, and commercial pricing strategies for the purposes of tendering key Maintenance, repair & Overhaul and other services and generating best value.Work with other internal stakeholders to plan, execute, and manage competitive tenders in accordance with agreed strategies.Draft and prepare tender documentsUndertake periodic category spend analysis.Use and administer Purchase Orders via SAP and GEP (Source to Contract tool.Undertake cost and price breakdown analysis of tenders returned/ proposals received.Negotiate terms and conditions, and pricing with suppliers.Draft contract agreements and seek approval for contract award in accordance with internal controls and protocols.Undertaking sourcing exercises to continually drive improvements in cost, quality, delivery lead times and service, ensuring best fit with Sembcorp ESG (Environmental, Social & corporate Governance).Conduct due diligence on suppliers and ensure that all new suppliers undergo appropriate assessment and evaluation prior to approval.Manage the approved suppliers and build and maintain strong supplier relationships.Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews with contract owners and take ownership for commercial obligations concerning all such contracts.Qualification, Skills and ExperienceExperienced SAP user.Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a Procurement team.It would be desirable if applicants were qualified or working towards CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply) accreditation.Collaborative.The ability to communicate proficiently both orally and written at all levelsTo be a proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of toolsLooking to develop their career, responds strongly to personal challenge and thrives in an ambitious environment.Exceptional work ethic, flexible hours and a variable workload when called upon, (including occasional nights away from home)Ability to get the best from themselves and others around them in a fun, challenging and fast paced operational environment.Benefits• Competitive basic salary dependent on experience• Discretionary performance-based bonus• 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays• Stakeholder Pension Scheme• Private Health Insurance• Group Income Protection Scheme• Life Assurance• Flexible working• Training and DevelopmentABOUT SEMBCORP ENERGY UKSembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) is a leading energy and urban solutions provider, led by its purpose to drive energy transition.
