Job Description:We’re looking for a hands-on Service Manager to lead the workshop and field-based service team for a leading supplier of turf and agricultural machinery in the Sheffield Park area.This is a great opportunity for someone with technical service leadership experience in agricultural, plant, construction, or groundcare equipment, who’s also confident managing people, process, and customer expectations.You’ll oversee a team of technicians, manage service delivery against customer contracts, improve workshop performance, and help grow the service offering through improved efficiency and customer care.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage internal and mobile service engineersOversee service contract delivery and help grow contract uptakeMonitor workshop performance, repair times, and operational efficiencyHandle technical escalations, warranty work, and rework campaignsSupport apprentices and ongoing team developmentProvide first-line technical advice to customersCollaborate with other departments on quality, training, and technical supportManage budgets and support commercial growth of the service functionEnsure Health & Safety compliance across the teamMaintain a high level of customer satisfaction and service standardsRequired Skills & Experience:Previous experience as a Service Manager or in a senior service role (e.g. Assistant Service Manager, Workshop Manager)Background in turf care, agricultural, plant, or construction machineryStrong technical understanding (engines, electrics, hydraulics)Excellent communication and leadership skillsCommercial awareness and the ability to manage budgetsConfident with Microsoft Office and basic service admin processesFull UK driving licenceIf you’re looking for a fresh challenge and want to lead a capable, close-knit team within a respected industry name, we’d love to hear from you.Apply now or get in touch directly to learn more.
