Internal Quality Assurer (Gas & Plumbing) Home-Based with national travel across the South, West, and East of EnglandSalary: £37,000 – £43,500 (depending on experience)Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per weekAre you a qualified IQA with a strong background in gas and plumbing, looking to make a meaningful impact on training quality across the sector?We’re looking for a skilled Internal Quality Assurer to join a high-performing team focused on driving excellence in teaching, learning and assessment within work-based apprenticeships. This isn’t just about compliance - it’s about raising standards and supporting delivery teams to provide the best possible experience for learners.The RoleYou’ll play a key role in quality assurance across gas and plumbing apprenticeship programmes, supporting the delivery of high-quality training through effective sampling, observations, feedback, coaching and support. You’ll work closely with Tutors, Training Officers, and Quality Managers to embed best practices and improve learner outcomes.This is a home-based position with regular travel across your region to support staff and learners on the ground.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned internal quality assurance sampling and observations across gas and plumbing provisionProvide constructive feedback and coaching to Tutors and Assessors to improve deliveryAnalyse sampling data and outcomes to identify development needs and ensure compliance with awarding body standardsPrepare for and support EQA visits and auditsContribute to standardisation activities and wider curriculum developmentShare technical expertise with colleagues and support quality improvement initiativesAct as a subject matter expert, advising on assessment strategy and best practiceHelp drive a culture of continuous improvement across teaching and learningWhat You’ll NeedEssential:A valid Level 4 IQA qualification (TAQA / V1 / D34 equivalent) – must be held prior to startingSignificant IQA experience in gas and plumbing apprenticeshipsLevel 3 qualification in Domestic Gas (e.g., Gas Installation Studies, Gas Fitting Final, or similar)Gas Safe registered and technically up to dateLevel 3 Award in Plumbing, Water Regulations, and Unvented SystemsStrong knowledge of the Building Services industryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsConfident with IT systems and remote quality assurance practicesMaths and English GCSE (A–C / 9–4) or equivalentFull UK driving licence and willingness to travelDesirable:Experience of conducting teaching and learning observationsHealth & Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely)ACS modules: Central Heating Boilers, Cookers & Hobs, Fires, Flue Gas AnalysisPlease note: These roles are only open to candidates currently residing in the UK with full right-to-work status.
