Are you confident working independently and interested in aviation safety?Birdstrike Management Ltd (BML) is a global consultancy helping the aviation industry reduce bird and wildlife strike risks. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Aviation Safety Ornithologist to join our growing team.This is a one-year contract with the possibility of becoming permanent. You’ll be based from home with regular travel for field work across the UK, and occasional international opportunities. You’ll work Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week), with occasional weekend work.You’ll support a wide range of ornithological tasks near UK aerodromes, providing expert insights and data to help reduce risks to aviation.If you’re ready to explore a career in aviation and ornithology, we’d love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:Carrying out bird surveys independently at UK aerodromesSupporting and delivering training to aerodrome staffReviewing planning applications for potential birdstrike impactsAnalysing wildlife data and identifying bird remainsPreparing ornithological reports based on fieldwork and analysisThe CompanyBirdstrike Management, where we prioritise safety in the aviation industry.
