Calibration Engineer – Site BasedLocation: Ideally within 90 minutes of Lincoln (UK-wide applicants considered)Salary: £36,225.00 – £42,000.00 per annum + overtime, commission & bonus. Contract: Full-time, Permanent | Typically Mon–Thurs (4-day week)Join a growing UKAS-accredited leader in calibration and testing equipmentAML Instruments Ltd is a well-established and ambitious provider of calibration and test equipment, accredited to UKAS ISO 17025. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to expand our engineering team with an experienced Site-Based Calibration Engineer.The RoleYou’ll deliver on-site calibration services at customer locations throughout the UK (and occasionally overseas), covering a broad range of disciplines including:Mass, dimensional, electrical, temperature, pressure, torque, force, rheology, and optical equipment.Training will be provided for areas outside your current expertise.Expect an average of 2 nights per week away from home.Some travel to Europe and further afield may be required occasionally.What You’ll NeedWe’re looking for a hands-on engineer with:Minimum 2 years of experience in calibration, with expertise in at least two of the following disciplines: electrical, dimensional, optical, mass, torque, pressure, force or temperature, etc.Strong understanding of calibration principles and practices.Dimensional or force calibration experience is highly desirable.Knowledge of BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and Transmille ProCal software is a plus.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Proven ability to work independently.A flexible, positive attitude – early starts (5–6 am) and occasional fifth-day or weekend work may be required.Full UK driving licence (3 points or fewer).What We Offer4-day working week (Mon–Thurs) with 3-day weekendsCompany van (less than 3 years old) – for business and personal useCommission on sales enquiries generatedAnnual bonus and optional overtime24 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing by 1 day per year (up to 28 days total)Opportunity to purchase additional holiday daysOngoing training and clear progression routesCompany laptop and mobileGenerous expense allowances and company floatAccess to 24/7 virtual GP, mental health support, and counselling servicesPension & life insurance coverAll salaries are reviewed annually in JulyWhy Join AML Instruments?At AML, you’ll be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team committed to quality, service, and long-term client partnerships.
