Above all, you are naturally able to build rapport with others to establish relationships and grow income in your region.Key ResponsibilitiesCultivating and recruiting new and existing supporters and volunteers to participate in a range of third-party fundraising eventsBuilding and developing trusted relationships, in particular with our families, to support fundraising, storytelling and volunteeringWorking with the National Community Fundraising Manager to build a strategy for your region, build relationships, and grow income Working effectively with teams across the wider Charity, playing a key role in House teams, as well as the Income Generation teamWorking with volunteers to participate in a range of third-party fundraising events or holding their own ‘in aid of’ fundraising eventsWorking with the Marketing and Communications department to produce appropriate fundraising materials and ensuring that all public relations opportunities are fully maximisedRepresenting Ronald McDonald House Charities UK at fundraising meetings, events, and presentations outside normal office hours (evenings and weekends), as requiredAccurate use of in-house database to record communications and bank income, ensuring financial and non-financial activity is recordedEnsuring that all fundraising conforms to industry best practice and legal requirementsUndertaking any other duties of a compatible nature, as may be required from time to time by managementSkills and ExperienceProven fundraising experience or experience working towards KPI’sExperience of working in a customer-facing role Experience managing relationships with a diverse range of people Experience of developing annual plans and budgets, producing reports on progress and against objectives and financial targets Knowledge of using a database to carry out day-to-day administrative dutiesExperience working independently and as part of a wider teamGood written and communication skillsAble to persuade, motivate, and inspireDelivers clear and concise messagesComputer literate, including proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Ability to travel across Central East of EnglandOur Diversity StatementWe aim to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths, views, and experiences.
