We are currently partnering with a Kent based Council, who are recruiting for a Civil Litigation Lawyer to join their team on an initial temporary 3 month basis.This is a full-time position with a negotiable rate and the start date is as soon as possible. This role is hybrid with office/court attendance required once a week . Duties will include (but are not limited to): Managing a caseload of Civil and Criminal Litigation inclusive of AdvocacyHandling a mixed caseload on matters relating to: housing disrepair, possession, anti-social behavior, environmental protection, rent arrears, boundary disputes, fly tipping and homelessnessConducting Advocacy in County Court and Magistrates Court, Preparing Bundles, instructing CounselNegotiating Costs, Part 36 Settlement Agreements, adhering to the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Conditions ClaimsDealing with Environmental Protection Act Claims, Rent Arrears Civil Claims, Boundary DisputeWorking hours:35 hours per week They are also open to offering condensed hoursJames Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
