HESCO, an engineering company specialized in providing comprehensive structural engineering services and execution projects; in addition to, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Infrastructure and Electromechanical designs; based in Spain with offices in Jeddah, Riyadh, Makkah, Syria, Turkey, Egypt, Lebanon and United Kingdom.We are looking for a professional with a deep understanding of both modern engineering practices and traditional construction techniques, with proven experience in sensitive and technically demanding restoration projects.MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIESThe project involves a building of high historical value and presents a variety of structural pathologies that require thorough and specialised assessment.Conducting a full structural assessment of the existing buildingIdentifying and analysing both visible and hidden structural pathologiesPerforming foundation and geotechnical investigationsCollaborating with heritage and conservation authorities to ensure full compliance with applicable regulationsWorking closely with architectural and restoration teams to ensure technical consistency throughout the renovation processDESIRED SOFT SKILLSAttention to detail: Ability to detect and analyse subtle structural issues in historically sensitive contexts.Problem-solving mindset: Capable of finding creative and technically sound solutions under complex constraints.Strong communication skills: To effectively liaise with multidisciplinary teams, conservation officers, and project stakeholders.Adaptability and flexibility: Comfortable working within evolving project parameters and heritage regulations.Collaborative spirit: Proven ability to integrate engineering solutions within architectural and restoration frameworks.Accountability: High level of responsibility and ownership over project decisions and outcomes.ACADEMIC BACKGROUNDChartered Structural Engineer (it is a professional title in the UK required to sign off projects).PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE15 years experiencePrevious experience on similar projects is required.
