Engage Talent Partners are working with out client to recruit for a Manufacturing Manager based in Aberdeen.The company is undergoing significant growth, offering excellent opportunities for development, training and progression. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that manufacturing operations run efficiently and effectively, from initial enquiry through to delivery.Key Responsibilities:Plan, coordinate, and manage daily production activities to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.Manage and lead shop floor staff, including assigning tasks, setting performance goals, and conducting performance evaluations.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.Monitor and maintain inventory of raw materials, tools, and equipment to prevent downtime.Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and quality control teams to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.Track production metrics (e.g., output, downtime, scrap rates) and report regularly to senior management.Oversee maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.Participate in hiring, training, and development of shop personnel.Implement lean manufacturing principles and 5S practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.Manage the manufacturing budget, including input, forecasting, and adherence to company financial goalsThe ideal candidate will have proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with a background in supervisory or managerial roles. They will possess a strong understanding of engineering drawings, as well as machining and welding processes.
