Job Description A Civil Engineer within a new infrastructure team based within the Manchester Office. This new permanent role, in a team of drainage, highways and development infrastructure specialists, will support the expanding client base of predominantly large residential developers.Some specific requirements of this role will be to:Develop technical highway and drainage designs to support S104, S38 and S278 applications.Undertake a variety of technical assessments for new developments.Develop Levels Strategies and manage the production of Earthwork Appraisals.Manage projects with moderate supervision ensuring outputs are delivered on time and to an excellent standard.Produce Planning Documents such as Flood Risk Assessments/Drainage Technical Notes and Utilities Statements RequirementsA degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject.A minimum 3 years’ experience in UK development related infrastructure engineering.Demonstrate suitable knowledge of relevant design standards including DMRB, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, local road standards and relevant national planning policy.Be experienced in the preparation of highways and drainage design and in particular S38, S278 and S104 processes.Be experienced in writing flood risk assessments and/or drainage strategy reports for development projects.Knowledge and application of drainage design from first principles and experience in the use of Micro/Infodrainage and/or Causeway flow software.Experience in the use of of AutoCAD and Civils 3D.A full UK driving license, as the role may require you to visit sites only accessible by car.
