This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting current and former service personnel through complex legal challenges.You’ll manage a mixed caseload with a focus on high-value Military claims, including Clinical Negligence and other serious personal injury matters. The role also offers the opportunity to carry out your own advocacy and contribute to shaping the direction and profile of our growing military law practice.What You’ll Do:Develop and manage a high-value Military injury caseload (including multi-track matters)Conduct your own advocacy where appropriateRepresent clients across a range of issues such as NFCI, bullying and harassment, and other complex claimsDraft pleadings and quantum assessments, advise on Part 36 offers, and instruct Counsel and medical expertsUse case management systems and maintain accurate, timely file and diary recordsMaintain compliance with Money Laundering and Data Protection regulationsBuild referral networks and develop relationships with local and national partnersSupport marketing and business development efforts including web content and firm-wide initiativesMentor or support junior colleagues, contributing to team collaboration and performanceWhat We’re Looking For:4+ years PQE with a demonstrable track record in Military personal injury lawAdvocacy experience or interest is essentialExcellent working knowledge of CPR, litigation procedures, and case lawStrong negotiation, drafting, and client-care skillsExcellent IT literacy and comfort with case management systemsAbility to prioritise and manage deadlines effectivelyA commercially minded, collaborative team player with a drive for continuous improvement and innovationWillingness to engage in marketing and business development activitiesWhy Join Simpson Millar?We are The Open Lawyers – committed to transparency, access to justice, and a truly flexible and inclusive working culture.
