BUSINESS SUPPORT LEAD Salary Scale: NICS SO £37,694-£38,990 per annum (August 2025 pay scale) Location: Skainos Centre, Belfast (option for hybrid working) Hours: 37 hours per week Contract type: Full time, permanent Closing date: Monday 4 August 2025 at midday Housing Rights is looking for a highly skilled Business Support Lead to join our Finance and Corporate Services team. About the role The Business Support Lead plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence at Housing Rights by leading the Business Support Team, overseeing the effective delivery of a wide range of organisational support functions including finance, human resources, health and safety, facilities management, information technology, data protection, procurement and contract management. The key purpose of this role is to: lead on the delivery of quality business support services ensure all business support systems and processes are colleague and client focused, up to date, regularly reviewed and implemented effectively support the strategic and operational planning and reporting processes provide leadership to the Business Support Team About you You will: be educated to degree level in a relevant business discipline and have 3 years operational experience of leading or coordinating business operations (OR have 5 years experience of leading or coordinating business operations have knowledge of key business functions (for example, finance, human resources, IT, facilities management, contract management safety with a clear focus on providing high quality customer service) be competent in Microsoft applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel) You will have experience in: managing a team designing and implementing business improvement initiatives planning, contract performance monitoring and reporting at a departmental or organisational level pre-empting issues before they arise, identifying risk and designing mitigating actions to deescalate any risk developing and improving administrative systems and processes You can: deliver at pace and have the ability to be agile against competing priorities work effectively in a team organise, prioritise and delegate effectively to meet challenging deadlines problem solve About Housing Rights Housing Rights has been helping people in Northern Ireland deal with housing and homelessness problems since 1964. We help people with their housing and homelessness problems through our helplines and advice work. We use their experiences to bring change and improvements with our policy work.
