This role is for a knowledgeable travel sales consultant to work within the team at Quintessentially Travel in London HQ.Travel Consultant (this is the mid-level role, known as ‘Travel Manager’ – we have 3 levels, executive, travel manager and senior travel manager levels)The ideal candidate is one who is looking for a challenge, is very hands on, target driven and use of their sales skills and product knowledge. They will maximise customer enquiries through using direct contracts/working with preferred partners to provide fantastic service to clients to turn enquiries into profitable sales consistently meeting or exceeding targets.The candidate will need to be flexible to business needs including attending supplier and consumer facing events.KEY DUTIESBe an effective champion of driving sales within QT and maximising margins with every saleTake responsibility for client contact on a booking from start to finish, maintaining regular contact with client throughout duration of trip to ensure total satisfaction and repeat businessResolve any client complaints quickly and efficientlySelling holidays to both Quintessentially Members and Non-Member clientsPursue all quotes/enquiries to ensure maximum conversions to salesAwareness of individual and team targets and work towards these at all timesAwareness of competitors and liaise with manager/product manager to ensure we are offering competitive pricing at all timesEnsure client payments are taken in a timely fashionMinimise costing errors by attention to detailMake sure emails are managed and all responses replied to in a timely fashionManaging requests in line with agreed deadlines, either with members or Lifestyle ManagersComprehensively capture all client information as required by the systemAs one of the top professionals in the QT team, you will be expected to attend corporate, member or internal meetings to promote the travel service to existing and prospective members, clients and colleaguesRepresent the company at client events and trade exhibitions in a professional fashionHOURS OF WORKContractual hours are from 0900 to 1730 Monday to Friday.However, it may be the case that in order to fulfil the duties of the role, different or additional hours may be necessary.Requirement to be on call outside working hours in case of service-related emergency.REQUIREMENTS At least 3 years’ background of working in a travel-sales environmentUnderstanding of working in a luxury travel environment dealing with VIP/high net worth individuals and their demandsTarget driven and sales focused with proven successful sales track recordWorks well under pressure, rises to any challenge, and meets objectivesCapable of working within a team structure or autonomouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWell-earned and proven reputation for genuinely outstanding excellent customer serviceTour Operator and Travel Agency know-how; with the ability to quote and cost from FIT contracts using your commercial judgement to secure revenue for QT without compromising on member’ wishesCreative flair for designing above & beyond luxury travel experiences with the ability to execute concepts through to completionKnowledge and travel awareness of the main luxury hotel groupsKnowledge and travel understanding of at least 3 of the following regions; Europe And Scandinavia/ Australasia/ Americas/ Middle East/ India And Indian Ocean/ Far EastCapable of driving new business and salesRegularly updating your own knowledge through reading, the study of specialist consumer and industry publications, industry networking, supplier training eventsBENEFITS Hybrid working (role dependant)Competitive annual leave allowance with a further increase due to long serviceBirthday Allowance – take your birthday off on us!Pension SchemeAngel Days: Additional paid leave to do charity workLong Service AwardsLife AssuranceDigital nomadEmployee Assistance ProgramStudy LeavePuppy friendly officesQmunity committee – Social events in the officeFree food & drink in the officeSeason Ticket LoansCycle to work schemeDiscounts with a variety of retail and hospitality companiesQuintessentially is an equal opportunities employer.
