Interim Commissioning Project Manager - SENDBased in London, hybrid workingLength: 3 months initiallyRate: £400 per day outside IR35We are currently recruiting for an Interim Commissioning Project Manager, who will play a key role in leading on commissioning transformation work aligned to the Safety Valve Programme.Key Responsibilities of the Interim Commissioning Project Manager:Leading commissioning projects that support the development of sustainable, needs-led services for children and young people pre and post-16 with SENDDriving improvements in service delivery through strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based decision-makingSupporting the implementation of frameworks and agreements that enhance quality, consistency, and cost control across commissioned servicesSkills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim Commissioning Project Manager:Proven experience in a commissioning role within a Local Authority, particularly in Children’s Services or SENDStrong understanding of commissioning processes for education placements, therapies, and transition servicesDemonstrable ability to lead complex projects, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver measurable outcomesExperience in developing and managing contractual frameworks, including provider agreements and performance monitoring tools
