Join us as the volunteer treasurer for the Open Table Network [OTN] - the national charity dedicated to creating safe, sacred, and supportive spaces for LGBTQIA+ people and allies in UK churches. About us: OTN helps churches open their doors and hearts to LGBTQIA+ people who have been marginalised by faith communities. We support and sustain a growing network of inclusive Christian communities across the UK. The role: As our Treasurer, you’ll play a key part in the good governance of our charity. You’ll oversee our finances, work with the Board of Trustees to ensure we remain financially healthy and compliant, and support our Director with financial planning and reporting. This is an exciting time to join us as we grow and strengthen our impact. Who we’re looking for: Youdo notneed to be LGBTQIA+ or a Christian butyou mustbe supportive of our charitable aims. We’re especially keen to hear frompeople with global majority heritageand people withdiverse sexualities and gender identities- your lived experience is valued in shaping our work. You’ll ideally bring: Experience in accounting, especially charity finance. An understanding of charity governance and financial reporting. Good communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to our values of inclusion, integrity and compassion. Time commitment: This is a voluntary role. We anticipate around 6-10 hours per month, including quarterly trustee meetings (usually online) and occasional in-person meetings. Location: OTN’s registered office is in Liverpool. This role is open to anyone, anywhere in the UK, who can work remotely, independently and in collaboration with OTN’s Director, fundraiser and trustees. Occasional travel to Liverpool and in-person meetings elsewhere may be required. The charity will cover reasonable travel expenses. Why volunteer with us?
