Job overviewApplications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow post in Neonatal Medicine at ST 4-8 level starting September 2025. This role offers an opportunity for neonatologists/paediatricians to gain further neonatal experience in a tertiary medico-surgical NICU. It prepares candidates for applications to national training schemes in Paediatrics, GRID applications in Neonatology, or for senior neonatal experience before becoming a consultant. It also provides a chance to revise and enhance neonatal skills post-CCT. Main duties of the jobThe neonatal unit at the Royal London Hospital provides tertiary medical and surgical neonatal care with eleven medical intensive care, twelve high-dependency, and fourteen special care cots. There is close consultant supervision, and training is provided in all aspects of neonatal intensive care. The post offers participation in educational programmes, training, and teaching, as well as opportunities for high-quality audit and quality improvement projects. Eligibility for GMC registration with a license to practice is essential. Prior experience at middle-grade level in a tertiary neonatal unit is desirable.
