The successful candidate will re-invigorate and reinvent our processes, delivering a professional, efficient, and compassionate pharmacy service.Main duties of the jobYou will need to have had hospital experience to understand how hospital prescribing, hospital only and formulary medicines work and perhaps you will also have experience of community pharmacy from which you can bring your commercial skills.This is a senior role requiring someone with proven managerial and change management skills and experience. Please ensure your application refers to the job description and person specification.The post includes participation in the late duty, seven day, bank holiday and senior on-call rotas.Person Specification Qualifications And Training Essential CriteriaMasters in Pharmacy Degree MPharm 1 year pre-registration training Professional registration with General Pharmaceutical Council Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalentDesirable criteriaMembership of Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain Member of the faculty of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (or working towards) at Faculty Advanced Stage II or Advanced level practice against the Core Advanced Curriculum Independent Prescriber Leadership/management qualificationExperience & KnowledgeEssential criteriaExtensive post registration hospital experience at least Band 7 level Staff management Experience of clinical trials Demonstrates evidence of excellent clinical knowledge and skills Understanding of current national standards, guidelines and service developments linked to areas covered by Medicine.
