Through regular and precise feedback, we aim to offer students ways to improve their skills and knowledge on a daily basis.Position:The BA (Hons) Hospitality Management & Leadership programme at LCCA prepares students to excel in the dynamic global hospitality sector with a strong emphasis on leadership, innovation, and strategic thinking. As a Lecturer, you will deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across Levels 4 to 6, supporting students to become forward-thinking leaders in hospitality.You will contribute to the curriculum by drawing on your professional and academic experience to enrich student learning and prepare them for real-world challenges. You will also support the development of a progressive teaching environment through collaboration, research, and industry engagement.Requirements:Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging, industry-informed teaching across Levels 4–6 in areas such as creative events management, leadership and entrepreneurship, hospitality marketing, research methods, financial planning, sustainable business practices, strategic hospitality management, digital marketing, and customer experience. Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement, integrating contemporary leadership theory and practice in hospitality. Support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of teaching and assessment activities, ensuring alignment with programme learning outcomes. Provide academic and pastoral support to students, encouraging their growth as confident, responsible future leaders. Maintain strong industry links and integrate guest speakers, case studies, and live projects into the learning experience. Champion the use of digital tools and platforms to enhance teaching and student engagement. Contribute to student recruitment, open days, and outreach initiatives as a representative of the programme. Participate in course meetings, quality assurance processes, and examination boards. Engage in professional development and scholarly activity to maintain subject expertise. Promote inclusive and reflective teaching practices to support student success.QualificationsA Masters degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or Events Management, or a related field and a relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience. Fellowship (or willingness to achieve) of the Higher Education Academy. Teaching qualification (PG Cert or equivalent) or willingness to obtain.Knowledge & SkillsStrong understanding of leadership in the hospitality sector. Ability to deliver dynamic, applied teaching grounded in current industry practice. Commitment to inclusive education and awareness of diverse student needs. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams. Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills. Up-to-date knowledge of digital learning technologies and hybrid delivery methods.ExperienceExperience teaching in the UK Higher Education sector and/or training roles within the hospitality industry. Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching practices. Evidence of ongoing professional practice, research, or knowledge exchange.DesirablePhD or professional doctorate in Hospitality, Tourism and/or Events Management, or a related discipline. Experience in developing industry partnerships or work-based learning opportunities. Involvement in student success initiatives, employability schemes, or alumni engagement.General ExpectationsContribute positively to the academic culture and values of LCCA. Uphold responsibilities related to health and safety, safeguarding, equality, and data protection.
