As part of a brand-new, dynamic team, you will deliver expert, patient-centred physiotherapy from the very first moment a stroke patient arrives in the Emergency Department (ED), and for Stroke patients when they're temporarily cared for on non-stroke wards.Main duties of the jobTo assist and contribute to organising, developing and delivering a high-quality physiotherapy service provided to Stroke patients in the Emergency Department (ED) and on outlying non stroke wards at the Royal London Hospital (RLH)o To play a key role in the advanced assessment, treatment and clinical management of patients with Stroke, determining the clinical diagnosis, functional deficits and physiotherapy (PT) treatment program required.o To work with senior colleagues in developing efficient and effective PT working processes to assist in producing a fully multi-professional team approach in a fast paced - high pressured environment.o To work with the Clinical Lead Therapists to develop the service to best meet changing health and social care agendas.o The post holder may be required to work in more than one speciality area.o To contribute to a 7 day rota.About UsBarts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country, and one of Britain's leading healthcare providers.The Barts Health group of NHS hospitals is entering an exciting new era on our improvement journey to becoming an outstanding organisation with a world-class clinical reputation.
