The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and delivering a high-quality, clinical service to the recently expanded neonatal unit at the Princess Royal University Hospital site.This post provides a varied experience as well as flexible and challenging opportunities for personal and professional development in clinical, research, strategic and managerial skills. The successful applicant will be a team player with clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail. We seek a highly motivated individual with relevant experience to join our team.The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work across other areas of Women’s and Child Health including general paediatrics, maternity and gynaecology.The post holder will join a specialist pharmacy team to lead and develop clinical pharmacy services within Women and Childrens. Supporting the Principal Pharmacist for Women’s and Children’s services, they will coordinate between wards, departments, and pharmacy to meet Care Group needs.Key duties include deputising for the Principal Pharmacist, acting as a paediatric specialist and independent prescriber, leading service development, participating in outpatient clinics and ward rounds, ensuring safe drug use, providing education and training, managing budgets, and supporting clinical research. They will also supervise staff and promote integrated, patient-centred pharmaceutical care.This role involves delivering a clinical pharmacy service at an Advanced level, as defined in the RPS Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum.The post holder will participate in enhanced hours and weekend servicesKing’s is committed to delivering Sustainable Healthcare for All via our Green Plan.
