With a strong reputation for service and reliability, we are looking for a motivated and organised Hire Controller to join our busy and friendly team. Role Overview;As a Hire Controller, you'll be the key point of contact for customers looking to hire equipment. From handling initial enquiries to processing orders and coordinating deliveries, you'll ensure that each customer receives a professional, efficient, and friendly service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident on the phone, and has a good eye for detail. Experience in the hire or construction industry is desirable, but not essential if you bring the right attitude and customer focus. Key Responsibilities;Respond promptly to hire enquiries via phone, email, and in personPrepare hire quotations and process orders accurately using internal systemsCoordinate equipment availability, deliveries, collections, and breakdownsCommunicate effectively with transport and workshop teamsMaintain strong relationships with customers and provide regular updatesIdentify upselling opportunities and advise on suitable equipment optionsEnsure all hire contracts and documentation are accurate and compliantSupport the wider team in achieving operational efficiency and service excellence What We're Looking For;Previous experience in a similar customer service or hire desk roleExperience within the hire, construction, or logistics industry is an advantageStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environmentConfident using IT systems and Microsoft OfficeA team player with a proactive, can-do attitudeKnowledge of plant or access equipment is beneficial What We Offer;Competitive salary up to £28,000 per yearCompany pension schemeOngoing training and developmentSupportive team environmentOpportunity to grow within a stable and expanding company
