Company DescriptionThe Consumer Protection Bureau (CPB) is the UK’s independent voice for consumers—leading national campaigns, influencing policy, and fighting injustice across banking, transport, digital, and energy sectors.Now entering an international phase, CPB seeks to build global partnerships and secure long-term funding for high-impact advocacy.We're hiring a strategic, connected Fundraiser to forge relationships with government and intergovernmental bodies (e.g. WTO, UNCTAD, EC).Role DescriptionThis isn’t a traditional fundraising role. As CPB’s Senior Fundraising Strategist, you’ll work at the nexus of policy, advocacy, and international funding — crafting compelling bids and opening the door to long-term public-sector financing.You’ll support campaigns such as:➤ Credit agency reform➤ Public transport fairness➤ Digital market transparency➤ Consumer rights post-Brexit➤ Global supply chain accountabilityKey Responsibilities➤ Design and execute a targeted fundraising strategy for:⯈ UK departments (DfT, BEIS, DLUHC)⯈ Public grant frameworks⯈ Global institutions (WTO, UNCTAD, EC, OECD)➤ Develop winning proposals and impact-driven concept notes➤ Build strong relationships with senior officials and donors➤ Monitor global funding calls and position CPB to respond early➤ Co-leverage funding through NGO/think tank consortiaPerson Specification➤ Proven record securing £6–7 figure public or global grants➤ Strong grasp of public mechanisms (e.g. Horizon, FCDO)➤ Exceptional writing and proposal communication skills➤ Deep understanding of policy advocacy & global development➤ Existing networks in civil society or donor institutions➤ Comfortable engaging at senior and board levelsWhy Join CPB?➤ National and global impact➤ Influence on public policy and high-profile media campaigns➤ Flexible hybrid working➤ Opportunity to build international funding strategy from scratchHow to ApplySubmit your CV, a short cover letter , and one example of a successful fundraising bid or concept note to:Email: : 5th August 2025
