Job Title: Technical Services – Manufacturing Scientist (Senior Associate Level)Location: Surrey, UK - Hybrid We're seeking a Senior Associate – Manufacturing Scientist to provide expert oversight and technical leadership for a portfolio of externally manufactured products across international markets.In this role, you will ensure process excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement while acting as the primary technical contact for contract manufacturers. You’ll play a pivotal part in cross-functional teams, guiding process transfers, product launches, and complex technical challenges—all with a strong focus on GMP compliance and process governance.Key Responsibilities:Provide expertise in packaging processes and materials.Act as the technical lead in Joint Process Team (JPT) meetings.Maintain and improve product control strategies.Manage and update GMP-relevant documentation including SOPs and Master Production Records.Lead or support technical transfers and new product introductions.Analyze process data to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities.Participate in site visits to assess contract manufacturer capabilities and support issue resolution.Prepare technical reports, annual product reviews, and position papers to support inspections and regulatory submissions.Support investigations related to deviations, complaints, and validation efforts.What You’ll Bring:Advanced degree or equivalent experience in life sciences, engineering, or a related field (e.g., pharmacy, chemistry, packaging engineering).5+ years in pharmaceutical or chemical production, technical services, and packaging.Deep understanding of pharmaceutical production processes, quality systems, and regulatory environments.Experience having had exposure to pharmaceutical production and having touched different technologies (powders, liquids, steriles, ointments creams, tablets, vaccines).Demonstrated experience with tech transfers, process improvements, and data-driven decision-making.Strong communication, project management, and team collaboration skills across diverse and global teams.High-level technical writing and reporting skills in alignment with cGMP expectations.Preferred Qualifications:Ph.D., MBA, or other advanced degrees.Additional European language skills.Experience working with contract manufacturers (CMO) and global stakeholders.
