Indirect Buyer – IT Hardware & Software Location: Leeds (with occasional UK travel)Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annumContract: Permanent / Hybrid Industry: Heavy Manufacturing / Multi-Site OperationsElevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading UK manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Indirect Buyer on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of IT categories within a complex, multi-site environment, driving commercial value and operational efficiency.The Role:As Indirect Buyer, you’ll be responsible for managing indirect procurement categories such as Hardware & Software services. You’ll work cross-functionally with stakeholders at various levels to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure the business receives best-in-class service and value.Key responsibilities include:Leading sourcing activities and contract negotiations across indirect IT spend areasDeveloping category strategies that align with business objectives and sustainability targetsBuilding and maintaining effective supplier relationships and performance frameworksCollaborating with internal stakeholders across multiple UK sites to ensure procurement supports operational needsDelivering measurable cost savings and driving continuous improvementEnsuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulationsIdeal Candidate Profile:We are looking for a commercially driven procurement professional with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across functions.You will have:Proven experience in IT indirect procurement or IT category managementExperience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environmentStrong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skillsExcellent communication skills and a collaborative approachA focus on value delivery, compliance, and continuous improvementKnowledge of sustainability or ESG-related procurement practices is desirableWhat’s in it for you?Competitive salary of £50,000 – £60,000Permanent role with long-term development opportunitiesAutonomy to lead key categories and make a tangible impactExposure to strategic procurement in a nationally recognised organisationA collaborative and forward-thinking culture
