About the jobJob OverviewCover Manager - September 2025 StartAs a Cover Manager you will play a key role in the organisation of day-to-day cover at the School. You will be responsible for planning the cover of lessons and liaising with agencies to ensure all lessons where a teacher will be absent are covered. You will also be required to cover lessons yourself throughout the day. A Cover Manager will be expected to engage in activities as detailed below.Key ResponsibilitiesPlay a lead role, working with staff such as the Director of Studies and Deputy Head Academic in organising the covering of lessons when School teachers are absentTake responsibility for covering classes and supervising students when teachers are absentManage the behaviour of studentsDeal with any issues or accidents within School proceduresReport back to other teaching staff the behaviours of studentsSupport students’ learningWork within a timeframeCommunicate effectively and sensitively with teaching and support staffSupport School administration as requiredProvide cover in the school as required, to include the main Reception.About Enlighten Supply Pool:Enlighten Supply Pool is a market-leading education recruitment and supply agency committed to the learning and development of young people.
