Ground School Instructor – ATPL SyllabusLocation: Gatwick (with some flexibility for remote delivery)Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: CompetitiveAbout the RoleA leading aviation training provider is seeking an experienced Ground School Instructor to deliver first-class theoretical knowledge instruction aligned with the ATPL(A) EASA and UK CAA syllabi. The successful candidate will teach up to three of the thirteen ATPL subjects, ensuring best practices and classroom discipline while helping students prepare for airline careers.This role also involves contributing to the development and modernization of training materials and methods, supporting a range of learners including those with special needs. Instruction will be delivered both in-person and virtually.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver specialist ground training in up to three ATPL subjects, meeting defined timeframes and quality standards.Plan and prepare lesson content with engaging and inclusive teaching methods.Track student progress using CBT and provide additional support when needed.Address educational or pastoral concerns promptly.Maintain accurate student records, reports, and assessments.Contribute to the development of new and existing training materials.Take on subject specialist and mentorship duties as needed.Help uphold high standards of customer service within the training environment.RequirementsBackground in aviation (ATPL, military, or engineering).Proven experience as an instructor or teacher.Experience teaching ATPL subjects is a plus.Strong communication and listening skills.Positive, motivational, and adaptive approach to teaching.Comfortable engaging diverse student populations.Ability to challenge and improve current training practices professionally.Growth mindset and team-player mentality.Work Hours & LocationBased in Gatwick with flexibility for some virtual delivery.Core hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.Benefits IncludePrivate health insurance & healthcare cash planPension schemeLife assuranceStock purchase planElectric car & cycle to work schemesOnsite gym (Gatwick)
