We think BIG about solving the world’s toughest challenges in failing water, sewer and industrial infrastructure.Location: Battle, East Sussex, with regular travel to Southern Water operational areasReporting To: Head of Commercial (UK)The Senior Project Manager will lead and oversee all contract delivery associated with Southern Water, ensuring safe, efficient and commercially sound operations. This role will lead a team of a Project Manager, Delivery Manager and Supervisors and be accountable for performance across the framework.Duties/Responsibilities:Contract Leadership & Programme ManagementOwn and drive overall contract performance for the Southern Water framework, ensuring delivery of planned and reactive works within agreed KPIs.Develop programme schedules and resource plans aligned to client priorities and budgets.Lead on mobilisation of new workstreams or contract amendments.Chair internal and external meetings, maintaining a proactive leadership presence across all project areas.Identify and address resource constraints or delivery risks quickly and effectively.Team LeadershipDirectly manage Project Managers delivering Southern Water workstreams.Oversee team development, training and succession planning.Set and track objectives for the team aligned to operational targets and client expectations.Client & Commercial ManagementAct as main client liaison for performance, operational planning, issue resolution and innovation.Monitor contract financials, approve valuations and support budget forecasting.Lead performance review meetings with Southern Water, presenting metrics, improvement plans and added value.Required Skills/Abilities:Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience managing utilities or drainage contracts.Strategic thinker with ability to deliver at operational and leadership level.Proven record of successful client and contract delivery.Strong leadership and team development capabilities.Excellent commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.Competent in Microsoft Office, project scheduling tools and digital reporting systems.Full UK driving licence required.Education and Experience:Relevant degree in Project Management, Engineering or Utilities.Accreditation / Chartership or working towards an advantage.
