We would love for you to join our growing Inpatient CAMHS Speech and Language Therapy Team at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Our CAMHS SLT Team is seeking a resilient, enthusiastic, and dedicated advanced practitioner to lead our team. This is your chance to be part of an innovative, fast-paced service providing exceptional care to adolescents with complex mental health needs. You will lead the team providing assessments, intervention and training across the trust's Inpatient CAMHS Units and Secure Childrens home: Bluebird House (Medium Secure) Austen House (Low Secure) & PICU Serenity Path & Blake Day Service This is an exciting opportunity to belong to newly established team providing speech therapy assessment, intervention, consultation and training. You'll be part of an MDT working collaboratively to deliver therapeutic interventions and holistic care. You will be part of a team comprising of 2 Band 6 Therapists with wider support from an ACP OT and AHP Lead for Inpatient CAMHS. Main duties of the jobWe're looking for someone who is: Compassionate & Resilient Leader: motivated about supporting young people through vulnerable stages of their journey and modelling this to a team. Team-Focused: Leading collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Passionate about improving communication in CAMHS A Good Communicator, happy to educate other in how best to support our young people Excited about the innovative potential of Speech & Language Therapy. We will expect you to: Lead a team supporting the young people to engage effectively in their admission by educating and training the multi-disciplinary team to understand their speech, language and communication needs, and how to address them. To manage a small specialist caseload of young people using evidence based/person centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, maintaining associated records in a clinically autonomous manner. Line manage the B6 Speech and Language Therapists within the team. Use your experience to help us develop the highest quality service for our young people.
