Located in Staffordshire, Ivetsey Bank Hospital is a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) facility offering specialised, intensive inpatient care and support to children and young people with severe, enduring, and complex mental health conditions. We are dedicated to providing caring, supportive, recovery-focused treatment and we achieve this by working together with our young people, their families and other professionals. Our hospital is part of the wider ACG Mental Health Network and a key partner in the West Midlands CAMHS Provider Collaborative, led by Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust. We prioritise a clinically led model of care, developed in consultation with doctors, nurses, psychologists, therapists, social workers, and other experts in the field, alongside feedback from our young people and their families. Our approach is person-centred, tailored to the unique needs, hopes and challenges of each individual, and we utilise evidence-based practices to inform our treatment and support strategies. What you'll be doing: Deliver high-quality care under the guidance of a Practitioner Psychologist. Assist with assessments of inpatients and day patients, contributing to care reviews in preparation for MDT (Multi-Disciplinary Team) meetings. Ensure all clinical documentation is thorough, accurate, and appropriately filed. Conduct evidence-based literature searches to support the development of best practices. Provide effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Foster and maintain strong working relationships with the multi-disciplinary care team, patients, visitors, and carers. Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights. What you'll have: Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minimum 2:1 (required); eligible for British Psychological Society (BPS) Graduate Basis for Membership. Previous experience within a healthcare environment or working with young people would be advantageous Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. A proactive and compassionate approach to patient care.
