This post attracts a recruitment incentive of £6,000 pro rata (conditions apply).We are seeking a Theatre Practitioner to work in South Theatres and the new surgical hub. If you are interested in a new challenge or change, this could be the role for you.This position is crucial to the effectiveness of South Theatres' new surgical hub and offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual to contribute to the development of Elective and Emergency surgery at Ipswich Hospital.We provide numerous development opportunities for further education, including degree and master’s level programs, supporting your growth within the theatre environment.The surgical hub offers both Elective and Emergency surgery, with 24-hour cover for Emergency Surgery. The department comprises 8 operating theatres, including a dedicated Emergency and urgent surgery Theatre and 6 Elective Theatres.The role may include internal rotation, working across different theatres, carrying the emergency anaesthetic Bleep, and POCU.This post is open to AHPs, ODPs, and Registered Nurses with exceptional theatre/scrub experience.You will work in both new and existing theatres at Ipswich Hospital. An exciting innovation is the introduction of robotic surgery using the Da Vinci Robot.The department covers a wide range of specialties, including General surgery, Colo-rectal, Urology, ENT, Oral, Plastic, Breast, Vascular, Robotic, and laparoscopic surgery.The Successful Candidate Will:Demonstrate professional commitment to patients, their families, and carers.Actively seek and respond to feedback from service users and colleagues.Work collaboratively to maintain high standards.Engage with multidisciplinary teams to improve service delivery.Support patients throughout their journey within the theatres department.We are ESNEFT, providing hospital and community health services to nearly one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex.
