We welcome experienced staff nurses. We are looking to recruit highly motivated, dynamic,forward thinking nurses, to help provide safe high quality patient care. Ward 52 is a 32 bedded Acute Frailty Unit. Applicants shoulddisplay effective communication skills and deliver high quality patient focusedcare. Ward 52 is a friendlyand supportive ward and has a commitment to providing a high quality of nursingcare. The post holder will support the team inproviding care to patients acting under the direct supervision of the wardmanager / Sister. The post holder should work effectively within a teamenvironment, have good communication skills, demonstrate enthusiasm and strivefor service improvement as well as sharing our passion and visions at CDDFT. Main duties of the jobMAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - To assess patients needs and develop, implement andevaluate programmes of care. - To organise the delivery of nursing care, deploying staffeffectively. - To be aware of, and communicate to team members, changesto patient information and treatment plans, both verbally and in writing. - To adhere to NMC standards of record keeping. - To assist the Ward Sister in setting, monitoring andmaintaining standards of care. - To participate in nursing audit and service improvementactivities. - To be aware of resource constraints and the importance ofworking within budget. - To provide advice and act as role model to other membersof the team. - To be proactive in managing risk and maintaining patientsafety. - To supervise the work of nursing support staff, ensuringtasks undertaken have been delegated appropriately. To contribute to theday-to-day management of the Directorate, co-operating with colleagues toprovide an appropriate level of nursing service and to address bed managementissues. - To participate in education and training of junior staff. - To involve patients/carers in the planning anddelivery of care..
