Nisaba is a UK-based small charity that provides essential menstrual health and wellbeing services for migrant women, girls and people who menstruate. For more information about our work please visit .uk Role Description We are very excited to share a new freelance opportunity for London based applicants who are a medical professional or specialist in menstrual, reproductive 'sexual health. The role requires the ability to deliver up to 2 hour, face to face workshops in London/Greater London on an ad-hoc basis. Workshops typically occur between Monday to Friday working hours, occasionally on a weekend, on average once every 2 months, however depending on requests this may vary. The maximum we will provide is 1 workshop per month. The hourly rate is £50/hour (a maximum of 2 hours per workshop). The educator will be responsible for preparing and conducting inclusive educational workshops on subjects such as; The menstrual cycle and comomon myths Sexually transmitted infections/diseases Safe Sex Non-hormonal and hormonal contraceptions HIV Hormonal changes with trans and non binary people in mind Menstrual products Menopause (including peri and post) Requirements Essential(Must have) Experience as an OBGYN medical professional, perinatal/birth worker, sexual health specialist, researcher or nurse/midwife GMC/NMC/Doula registered Enhanced DBS Experience in facilitating adult learning sessions but no formal qualification required Evidence of self employment with HMRC, registration with Companies House (if applicable) Provide your own invoices Passionate, warm and friendly personality Passion for advocating for refugee health and rights Trauma informed, non-hierarchical communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well as a team and alongside an interpreter is required Proficient knowledge in menstrual and reproductive health conditions Proficient in presentation editing such as canva, powerpoint, UK public health knowledge and understanding Flexible and adaptable to changing situations Ability to work effectively and sensitively in a multi ethno-religious environment Experience in working with refugee populations is desired Please attach your CV to your application You are from a refugee or migrant background Fluency of languages such as Arabic, Farsi, Pashto, Spanish, Swahili is desired FAQ(Frequently asked questions) If you do not have Monday-Friday availability, please do not apply to this post as workshops typically occur during working hours as we collaborate closely with other charities and organisations.
