As we expand our support across Australia and North America, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring seamless integration and transformation of data.Project Harmony has revolutionized the management of insurance assumptions across the Actuarial teams in Europe and Asia. You'll lead the design and delivery of data migration, and building essential tools for any relevant data transformations, ensuring Harmony's consistent adoption.Reporting to the Associate Vice President, R&D, you'll collaborate closely with technology and business units across our global operations, ensuring all requirements are met and delivering data environments and reporting outputs.Role Responsibilities Identify, understand, develop, and validate business needs from a user perspective, including local Business Unit specific needs and global functional needsPerform in-depth analysis of the existing data model to inform the design and development of assumptions in the new databaseDevelop and maintain data lineage documentation to ensure data accuracy, traceability, supporting compliance with industry regulations, data users and data governance activitiesEndorse business requirements with an emphasis on collaboration, delivery, and a focus on the strategic goals of the project and the businessTake a lead role in the project throughout the full project lifecycle from definition of business needs through to solution deliveryBuild strong working relationships with business stakeholders, technology and Actuarial Systems teams, enabling effective collaboration and alignmentSupport testing and validation activities within data related projects and initiativesCollating, reviewing, and updating process and technology documentation to reflect changes in business processes and technologySkills & Experience Proven experience in the market as a Data Business Analyst, Data Analyst or similar roleExperience working on a Data Transformation project, delivering an ingestion, reporting and warehouse capability is a plusStrong proficiency in SQL for querying and analysing databases, translating outputs into actionable insightsStrong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teamsKnowledge of reinsurance or insurance industry concepts is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills enabling efficient interaction and collaboration with all stakeholdersTakes responsibility for the quality, completeness, and accuracy of own work and that of the team under themAble to prioritise competing requests and deadlinesExperience with R would be beneficialWorking For Pacific Life Re Every person in our global team is valued for the unique qualities they bring to our business and we seek to build their expertise and support their individual ambitions at every step.
