Senior Data Warehouse EngineerDay Rate:£500pdLocation:Remote (UK-based applicants only)We are currently looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer to join one of our fast-growing and forward-thinking clients based in the UK. You’ll be joining a collaborative, agile team of modern data professionals and will report directly to the Data Warehouse Manager. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full BI stack, from pipeline development to data modelling and stakeholder engagement, and who thrives in a cloud-native environment using tools like dbt, Fivetran, and Redshift. The OpportunityThis is more than just an engineering role. As a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer, you’ll: Help redesign and modernise the existing data warehouse using ELT best practices.Migrate legacy ETL workflows to modern tools like Fivetran (or Airbyte) and dbt.Optimise data models in Amazon Redshift for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.Replace legacy orchestration scripts with Python or Bash for enhanced automation.Enforce best practices for data quality, lineage, and documentation.Collaborate cross-functionally with analysts, engineers, and key stakeholders to deliver impactful data solutions.Implement CI/CD for dbt transformations and establish robust version control workflows.Support advanced techniques such as incremental loads, partitioning, and snapshotting.Contribute to production rollouts and empower internal teams through knowledge transfer and training.What’s in it for you?Day Rate :£500Remote-first culture– work from anywhere in the UKSkills and Experience5+ years of hands-on experience designing and managing modern data warehouses (ideally in Redshift)Advanced SQL skills and strong understanding of data modelling (star/snowflake schemas)Deep expertise in dbt – including documentation, testing, and CI/CDProficiency with Python or Bash for automation and orchestrationFamiliarity with pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and quality assurance practicesExperience working in cloud-native environments (preferably AWS)Comfortable using Git-based workflows for version control If you’d like to be considered for this role and think it could be a great fit for your skills and experience, please apply accordingly#J-18808-Ljbffr
