We're on the lookout for amotivated Assistant Transport Managerto support the day-to-day operations of a busy transport department. You'll work closely with theTransport Manager , ensuring smooth coordination of drivers and vehicles while staying compliant with all current legal regulations. This is your chance to step up - you'll cover theTransport Managerduring holidays and absences, gaining invaluable experience and leadership exposure. Ideally you hold the CPC and have previous experience of working in a Transport role. The role will be based in North Hertfordshire & involve managing circa 45 drivers. Key Responsibilities: Maintaining levels of all transport employees regarding health and safety, working time directive, vehicle checks, congestion charge, keys, cameras, tachometer checks and maintaining the service planner and organising repairs / maintenance. Maintaining the vehicle files so that the company complies with its legal responsibilities and conforms to VOSA and FORS requirements, & the company's Goods Vehicles Operator Licence. FORS practitioner. Ensuring all accidents, injuries and near misses are reported. Ensuring that all new personnel are trained and inducted appropriately.
