My client is seeking a 3rd Line Messaging Applications Engineer with Solaris and Windows to be based onsite in Basingstoke.You will play a key function in the stability and performance of legacy and modern messaging systems through incident resolution, problem management, and proactive service support.This is a permanent role paying between £48K - £55K + 3% Bonus + 10% DV Bonus.DV / SC Clearance is essential for this role.Responsibilities include:* Manage incidents: log,triage,assign and resolve using agreed toolsets and processes * Conduct root cause analysis and ongoing problem investigations * Monitor and support Nexor X500 DSA and Exchange 2003 messaging systems * Liaise with intermediary customer contacts to resolve end-user issuesSkills and Experience: * Strong knowledge of SMTP, X400 messaging, and X500 addressing * Experience with Nexor DSA and address book replication * UNIX scripting skills and experience with Solaris 10 * Oracle 8-10g database experience * Exposure to Interoperable C4I Services (ICS)It would be an added advantage if you had experience of the following, or would be willing to learn: * Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Server 2003 * Active Directory fundamentals * VMware v5/v5.5 administration * ITIL processes and best practicesPlease apply for immediate interview!CBSbutler is operating and advertising as an Employment Agency for permanent positions and as an Employment Busi...
