HLTA – SEMH Primary School – Chigwell We are currently recruiting for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist SEMH primary school in Chigwell this September. This is a full-time, long-term agency to permanent position. Key Details: Start Date: September 2025 Location: Chigwell, Essex Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30am start daily Two days finish at 4:30pm One day finish at 5:00pm Friday finish at 3:00pm Role Summary: You will be stepping into the role of cover teacher or second-in-command, delivering pre-planned lessons across the school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong classroom presence and a passion for supporting children with additional needs. Candidate Requirements: HLTA qualification is not essential, but HLTA experience is highly advantageous Experience from mainstream, SEMH, or SEN settings is welcome Must be resilient, have a good sense of humour, and show strong initiative Confident in delivering lessons and supporting behaviour managementAbout the School: The school is a residential primary school catering for pupils aged 5–11 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
