Hours- Midnight- 8am As one of our Warehouse Operatives, you’ll load and unload vehicles; scanning and labelling parcels quickly and efficiently, making sure every single package leaves our processing centre on time and in perfect condition. As someone who is positive and practical, you’ll enjoy the hands-on nature of this role. It’s vital that you have good attention to detail and you’ll also need to be able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg.As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be a key part of the parcel journey: Loading and unloading parcels from trailers Moving parcels through the warehouse safely and efficiently Operating mechanised parcel sorting equipment Sorting up to 40,000 items with your team during a single shift Ensuring every parcel – big or small – is handled with care and reaches its destination on time Our ideal candidate: Is flexible and comfortable switching between tasks Can lift parcels up to 30kg and push loads up to 250kg (with assistance for heavier items) Is physically fit and able to manage long shifts on their feet Is motivated, reliable, and ready to work as part of a team Working for First Recruitment as a temporary worker is a great opportunity to experience a variety of workplaces within different industries, whilst offering flexible working hours.
