Assistant Farm ManagerAre you passionate about farming and looking for a hands-on management role?Join our well-established and expanding co-operative farming client, specializing in high-quality sweetcorn, squash, and pumpkins for both retail and wholesale markets.Role & Responsibilities:* Conduct day-to-day farming operations, including tractor and forklift driving.* Crop walking with an agronomist to maintain high-quality standards.* Oversee irrigation and crop husbandry.* Procure necessary farming inputs.* Manage and motivate a small team for efficiency and productivity.* Assist the Farm Manager in planting, robotic weeding, harvesting, and packing seasonal crops.* Perform general farm work, maintenance, and seasonal planning between November and March.* Supervise machinery maintenance, labour management, and oversee crop production from planting to dispatch.Ideal Candidate:* Experience in managing seasonal labour within the horticultural industry.* A keen interest in learning about different crops (training provided where necessary).* Strong leadership and organizational skills.* Practical hands-on approach with machinery and farm operations.What We Offer:* Competitive salary based on experience* Opportunity to work in a well-established company with over 50 years of industry expertise.* Involvement in a growing and diversifying farming...
