Your new company Birmingham City Council is one of Europe's largest local authorities, delivering essential services to communities across the city. The council is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Caretaker to join its team, supporting housing services in the Nechellsand Newtown areas.Your new role As a Caretaker, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of council-managed properties. You will be responsible for supervising caretaking staff, working directly with tenants, and ensuring that health and safety standardsare upheld at all times. This role requires a proactive approach to managing day-to-day site operations and responding to tenant needs. You will also be expected to oversee caretaking duties and ensure that communal areas are well maintained and compliantwith safety regulations. This is a full time role, Monday - Friday. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience in a supervisory or caretaking position, strong interpersonal skills for working with tenants, and a solid understanding of health and safety practices.
