Primary Teacher (SEN) Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a qualified Primary Teacher with SEN experience to join a specialist secondary school located on the edge of the stunning New Forest, starting in September 25 The school supports approximately 160 pupils aged 11-16, offering a nurturing and therapeutic learning environment for students with a wide range of special educational needs. These include Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), social, communication and sensoryneeds, specific and moderate learning difficulties, and mental health challenges. The school provides a well-resourced, supportive, and highly inclusive environment. Staff are trained in trauma-informed and attachment-aware practices, and the curriculum is tailored to meet the social, emotional and academic needs of every student. Pupilsare taught in smaller groups with strong support from experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), enabling individualised teaching and relationship-building at the heart of learning. The successful teacher will be responsible for delivering a primary-style curriculum, adapted for a secondary-age cohort, across a range of subjectsparticularly English, Maths and topic-based learning. A calm, creative and flexible approach is essential, alongwith a passion for working with young people with complex needs.
