Fraser Edwards is recruiting for a Yard Operative/Storeman on behalf of a construction contractor for a permanent role based in Baldock and the surrounding areas. Duties: * Organise and maintain yard and storage areas, keeping materials safely and efficiently stored. * Conduct regular inventory checks and support the reordering process. * Load and unload materials and equipment from delivery vehicles and site locations. * Prepare materials in advance for upcoming projects. * Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and company policies. * Keep accurate documentation of materials received and issued. * Work with contract managers and site supervisors to ensure project readiness. * Carry out general yard maintenance and occasional repairs at various project locations. * Deliver and collect materials or equipment as required. * Ensure company property, vehicles, and tools are well maintained. * Perform general handyman duties including basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and minor electrical repairs across sites. * Complete all required company training and work to high standards of customer service. Experience & Qualifications: * Previous yard/warehouse experience (preferably construction-related). * General builder or construction trade experience. * Full clean driving licence is essential. * Good physical fitness - able to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various conditions. ...
