We are looking for a Sterile Services Technician to join our friendly team. The Sterile Services department is at the heart of the Hospital; this critical service is responsible for the decontamination of medical devices for surgery and patient care. This is not a patient facing role but is very much patient focused and the patient is at the core of everything the department does.Your duties will include:· Perform a thorough damp dust of work areas prior to commencement of work· Accepting used surgical instruments into the department ready to be reprocessed.· Correctly loading the washer-disinfector and autoclave to ensure effective decontamination of the entire load.· Ensuring a full inspection of the load is carried out prior to packaging the instruments for sterilization.· Packaging instruments, when applicable, in accordance with Hospital policy.· Recording and reporting any failed runs to the Theatre Manager.· Reporting any problems/anticipated problems to the Theatre Manager as soon as possible.· Insp...
