Animal TechnicianWe are working with a leading research institute based on the outskirts of London. Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Animal Technician to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and operational standards of our cutting-edge research facility.Responsibilities:* Adhering to animal health barrier procedures to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and biosecurity* Daily husbandry of animals* Carrying out health checks on small animals* general maintenance of the facility* Handling cage preparation, distribution, and general housekeeping duties within the facilityWhat we’re looking for:* A minimum of 5 A*-C or 9-4 GCSEs or an equivalent qualification in science* A genuine interest in animal care and welfare* Computer literacy, with the ability to use databases and systems for record-keeping* The ability to handle and move bulky or heavy items on a daily basis* Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic research environment* Experience working in a similar environmentReady to make a difference in animal science?
