Supporting the daily operations of a busy prison requires a dynamic individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contributing to tasks that involve security, searches, deliveries, visitor supervision, phone call monitoring, and CCTV management.These duties may include desk work and physical activities such as lifting, carrying, and walking across the prison grounds to escort vehicles.Reliable transportation is beneficial but not essential. Shift start and finish times are fixed, and it is your responsibility to arrive at and depart from work on time.Applicants must possess a valid UK driving licence including the D1 Vehicle Category for operating vehicles with 16 passenger seats or less, up to 8 meters in length, and trailers up to 750kg.Good communication skills, composure under pressure, sound judgment, common sense, and teamwork are essential qualities for success in this role.This position offers valuable experience and knowledge of how a prison operates, providing opportunities to progress into other prison jobs, including the OSG to Prison Officer conversion scheme.You will receive comprehensive training, opportunities for career advancement, paid annual leave, bank holidays, access to apprenticeships, and benefits like pension schemes and employee discounts.
