We'd like you to join us as a Senior Support Worker at our service Bobbins Swindon.At Bobbins, we provide residential supported living care to children with severe physical or learning disabilities, including autism. Supported by a highly trained staff team, the children are encouraged to strive for independence, however that looks for them as individuals.What you'll be working:OncallFull Time 42 hours per weekWorking every other weekendSleep insWhat you'll be doing:Supporting our clients with daily activitiesEffectively lead the shift by ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all timesSupporting their care plans to establish routinesEnsure that all service users have up-to-date risk assessments and person-centered plans in place, reviewing and updating as required with the service managerEnsure the client feels safe and stable within their day-to-day carePersonal Care*Cover all aspects of the support worker role as needed to meet the needs of the serviceBe part of the on-call teamAttend and complete all mandatory trainingAdminister medication (if required)Support service users with physical disabilities using trained techniques and aids such as hoists, wheelchairs, and modified bathing equipmentWhat you'll have:Strong organizational, time management, planning, and communication skillsFlexible, professional, and positive approach to multi-site workingLevel 3 NVQ or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towardsSound knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)Proven reliability in attendance and punctualityAbility to work as part of a team and independentlySelf-confidence and ability to manage challenging situationsDriving license is preferredAbility to respond to employee issues fairly and consistentlyWe are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities during the application and interview process, as part of our commitment as a Disability Confident employer.What to look forward to:25 days holiday plus bank holidaysYour birthday as a paid day offHoliday entitlement increases with serviceAnnual Colleague AwardsColleague referral scheme - earn up to£1000for referring someone you knowWellbeing support and activities#J-18808-Ljbffr
