We are looking for dedicated people to join our team as Patient Experience Volunteer. Your role will be vital in enhancing the wellbeing of our patients, providing them with the support and care they need.The role involves interacting with patients across the Trust who can feel lonely, isolated or bored. You will spend time talking with patients or supporting with activities.You can find out more about volunteering and how to apply on our website or contact our voluntary services team, or call 0161 922 5335.We also accept paper applications. Please contact volunteers to obtain an application form.Please note that we are expecting a high interest in our volunteer positions, and therefore we will be reviewing applications and prioritise applicants from the Tameside & Glossop area. Our Patient Experience Team plays a vital role in enhancing the well-being of our patients, and we are looking for compassionate and dedicated volunteers to join us.The RoleAs a volunteer with our Patient Experience Team, you will provide invaluable company and support to patients on our wards. Your responsibilities will include:Offering companionship and engaging in conversations with patients to alleviate loneliness. Assisting patients with simple tasks to enhance their comfort and well-being. Helping to prevent falls by ensuring a safe environment and supporting patients with mobility. Collaborating with healthcare staff to identify and address patient needs.Training ProvidedWe are committed to ensuring our volunteers are well-prepared and confident in their roles. Comprehensive training will be provided, covering:Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Patient safety and fall prevention techniques. Basic patient care and support.
