We are working in partnership with a reputable legal practice to find a dedicated individual with strong knowledge of legal aid billing, payments, and compliance to join their finance team. About the Role: As a Legal Aid Cashier, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the firm, ensuring all Legal Aid Agency (LAA) transactions are accurately processed and compliant with the relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities: Processing legal aid payments and reconciling accounts Submitting claims to the Legal Aid Agency via CCMS Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and LAA regulations Liaising with fee earners to manage WIP and disbursement billing Supporting monthly and year-end reporting processes General legal cashiering duties as required Requirements: Previous experience as a Legal Aid Cashier within a legal or professional services environment Strong understanding of LAA billing, claims, and reporting systems (including CCMS) Working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Salary & Benefits: Free parking Pension Social events Xmas party paid for Please note we will require a copy of your UK rights to work to be forwarded for this position, thank you.
